The North Carolina Zoo

OUR TRIP TO THE NC ZOO!!!!!!!
On Friday the 13th I finally go to visit my first real zoo!
My mom, Beepa, myself, Cortney and her boyfriend and friends
all went to the Zoo.

Our first stop was called the Sonoma Desert
It's like giant dome and inside they keep the
environment like Arizona the plants were awsome!

The Cactuses were huge alot of the animals were snakes and reptiles.
I think I would really love Arizona the plants are beautiful.

Next was the tropical bird sanctuary. Inside was so humid
it felt like walking into a tropical rain forest. The birds were gorgeous.

The Flamingos were outside and relaxin in the sun!

After we went to see the Gorillas.
There was the silverback male and his harem of woman.
He came over with his vegetables and decided to eat next to us
It was amazing!

There was a lot of monkey's...
My favorite were the baboons with their extremely ugly butts
(those things are supposedly sexy lol)

The Chimpanzees were soo cute and very friendly
They loved to pose for the camera.

After we went to the African side where I got to see a Giraffe for the first time
They fascinate me the most they look so freaky and cool at the same time.

I was soo excited to see the elephant.
He didnt have a name posted so we named him
Herman.

Beepa and I posed with over sized ostrich eggs.

We couldnt tell from far away if the alligators were real or made of cement
I had to whistle at them to get them to even open an eye
They were totally still like statues.
In the North American side was the polar Bear.
His name was Willy and he's 23 years old
They got him from a Chinese circus and he is now living out his retirment in peace.
These were the cutest animals at the zoo.
They're artic foxes, once they saw us coming up they ran to the fence
I think they thought we would feed them.

The sea lions were gorgeous Mom was able to capture them under water beautifully.

The zoo was awsome. Lots of exciting things going on down here.
I got a job and hopefully will be starting soon.
Valentines Day was quiet but Jason sent me a present in the mail.
He's good like that. Miss everyone back home alot.
But I am totally in love with the weather down here.
Well I'll update this soon
Love you all!!!!

So this was the weather on Wednesday
It was cold about mid 40's and it snowed over night.
The schools closed down for a 1/4 of an inch of snow if that.....
Isn't that crazy
(Oh by the way it melted by 11 am lol)
This is our front yard.......

Well after the snow melted it was
finally the weekend.
Teresa and Michael came on Saturday
We had a fire outside in beautiful 65 degree weather
Boston had a hard time resisting the horses...
I dont think he realizes how small he really is.

Finally Sunday was here and we got to meet Cortney's new Boyfriend
who is very nice and has a good sense of humor

(he's got to to fit into our family lol)
The weather was absolutely gorgeous so

we all went out and played football in the front yard. I never laughed so hard at myself and my sisters.

We are definitely not born atheletes lol.

But the men didnt do so badly.

Not much else going on except I got a JOB!!!!!!
It's in the mental health field and I get to be an in home counselor

Woooohoooooo!!!!!!!!

Miss you all!!!!

Long Birthday Weekend

Well it was a fun filled weekend. I finally met my neighbors
And they were quite sweet all I have to do is feed them carrots and they love me.

Aren't they gorgeous!
My Aunt Karen and Uncle Connie came for the weekend
on their way to Florida for a few weeks with their kids.
We made a fun weekend of it and sat out by the fire.
It was just cold enough but still nice outside on January 3rd
(hehehehe sorry Guys it was 55 outside)

Finally my Mom turned 50 years old on Sunday.
We celebrated with a Gluten free cake and trick candles
took all three of us girls to help her blow them out (HaHa)

It's been a rough few weeks the job market down here is tough. I find myself wondering what life has in store for me because from where I'm sitting things have been going slow. I wonder if the saying that the southern people really do run a whole different way of life and that life is freakin SLOW! I know that some how some way it will all work out because it always does but right now I wish it would work out now rather than later. Thats all I have right now. Miss you all terribly!
(Baby you help me get through this, I miss you more than you know)

Our First Christmas in North Carolina

I've only been in NC for 3 weeks.....

Things have been going well, and the weather is unreal it didnt feel like December at all, it felt more like May in NH. Well days went by fast and before I knew it it was Christmas Eve.
I am so grateful that I was able to make it NC before Christmas and spend it with my family. The only thing missing was my number one man, Jason but he sent me flowers...He's so good!

(Thank you babe, they are beautiful)

We spent Christmas Eve with my Sister and her husband Michael and had a ball.

My sisters and I had fun posing for pictures as Santa's little helpers. As you can see from the other picture the lip puckering runs in the family.......

Cortney thought it would be fun to do a theme stocking for me and got me all pink and Princess parafanalia and so I was Princess for the evening. Complete with my sword and sash hehehehe.....Michael and Cortney decided to help me practice the royal wave.

Not many people know about My sister's and mine famous peanut butter Jelly dance we do. We've done it at most family gatherings and this was no different even Abby got into the swing of things and actually ( not joke) bit my ass....

Christmas Morning was spent at my Parents house and Cortney and I wore our new Christmas jammies that Teresa and Michael got us.

Cali was running around like a nut playing in all the paper and boxes but she eventually got tired and fell asleep in my new laundry basket.

It was so gorgeous outside that we all decided to sit out on the porch and lay in the sun.
It was 65 degrees outside can you believe it!!!!!

Oh yeah forgot to tell you the week before it was 70 outside and I wore flip flops and a tank top (pssstt...it was Dec. 19)

Well thats all the news I have for now......
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
Everyone
Miss you All!!!!
